Nakao Tomomichi

Nakao Tomomichi has worked on numerous exhibitions and artist-in-residence programs as a curator of Fukuoka Asian Art Museum in Japan since 1998. His curatorial projects include Santo: Holy Sculptures from the Philippines (2003), Women In-Between: Asian Women Artists 1984-2012 (touring exhibition, 2012-2013) and the 2nd to 5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale (2002, 2005, 2009 and 2014). In 2015, he participated in Japan Media Arts Festival's CRYPTOBIOSIS: Seeds of the World (SELASAR SUNARYO art space, Indonesia) as a planning director.   

About the event 

Nakao Tomomichi visited CONA to see artists who are doing interesting work without gallery representations, some trying to function at the periphery and others made/forced to do so.
